Los alumnos de 4º grado escribieron acerca de “My favourite character”
My favourite character was Captain Jack because he was funny and a good actor. He was very tall and slim. He had long black hair and brown eyes. I liked his costume.
My favourite part was when he fought with Jesse with swords and when he sang the first song: “Rich Pirates”. He liked Jesse. He was in love with her and he made an alliance with her to recover the map. He fought very well.
Bautista G.
My favourite character is Jesse because she’s intelligent and an experienced fighter with the sword. She is a good pirate but a liar because she says she is a man. She is beautiful and she loves Jack. My favourite part is when she fights with Captain Jack.
Mateo R.
My favourite character is Pepper, the parrot. He is very crazy and funny. His tail is long. In his legs he has got sharp claws.
His beak is long, too. Over his eyes he’s got a patch. He is red and his feathers are green.
Pepper, the parrot is also very bad because he told Francis that he had to be as bad as him to be a good pirate. He tells Francis that if gets the booty, they will share it.

My favourite scene
The scene I liked was when Francis danced the song “Staying alive” to Dirty Mary and the best part of that scene was when Francis finished dancing and Dirty Mary asked him: “Why are you walking that way?” and Francis answered: “Do you think that I walk sexy?”. And Dirty Mary said: “No, I don´t.”
Tomás de A.
My favourite part was when Jesse and Jack started fighting with the swords because Jack thought that Jesse was a traitor because Jesse told everybody that she was a boy and that was a lie.
Santiago C.
My favourite scene was when Francis danced and tried to be sexy, because it was very funny and interesting.
And another part was when Dirty Mary was talking to Francis and he thought he was talking to the parrot. It was excellent!

Los alumnos de 6º grado relataron una historia propia:
“I dreamt I was a pirate for one day”
I dreamt I was a pirate! I was the Captain of the Nao, a pirate ship, which was very famous because no one could defeat it. My crew and I were looking for a huge treasure hidden in a lost island in the Caribbean. I had stolen the treasure map from Shakir, another dangerous pirate. Although I had the map, I had lost my hand in the fight! I had a hook in my arm, instead. At last, we arrived on the lost island late at night so we decided to look for treasure the following morning. Suddenly, in the middle of the night, we were woken up by a group of cannibals, who were shouting and pointing at us with their weapons. We were in serious trouble!
Luckily, my mum woke me up with a nice cup of tea. I was so relieved to hear her voice! I was not sure how we could have managed to escape from that terrible island, but it would certainly have been a fantastic adventure!

“I dreamt I was a pirate for one day”
I dreamt I was a pirate. I was the Captain and we were travelling by ship to an island because there was a treasure.
When we arrived on the island we were very hungry because we didn’t have anything to eat. We walked for hours. Suddenly, my friend Tom saw a big apple tree, an orange tree and a beautiful lake. We ran to eat those fruits and drink water. We spent a great time!
At night we went to the ship to get the treasure map and to our surprise we saw that the ship was not there! Our ship was taken away by a huge wave!
My crew and I did not find the treasure but we did not care about that. We found something better than a booty. We found the real treasure: “our friendship”.
Finally, I woke up and said: “That dream was great!”

Review
Pirates’ Island is an adventure play performed by The Performers, a Group of actors and actresses who work in an auditorium in the neighbourhood of Nuñez.
The story takes place on an island. In this play there are five characters:
Dirty Mary, the cook and Francis’ girlfriend
Francis, a pirate
Jesse, a woman pirate dressed as a man
Jack, the Captain
Pepper the parrot. He wants to steal the treasure
The plot: Pepper convinces Francis and Dirty Mary to steal Jesse’s map to find the treasure but they cannot find the treasure because they realize that this is the love between them.
I definitely recommend it because it is an interesting and funny play with a bit of romance.
Don’t miss it!
